
John Fisher
John has been a professional performer and educator for over 30 years. He was an instructor at The Percussion Institute of Technology, Hollywood, California having developed the technique curriculum there. John has done extensive studio work in addition to tutoring some of the world's finest drumset players, including Kenny Aronoff (Smashing Pumpkins, John Fogerty, Elton John), Ashwin Sood (Sarah McLaughlin), Daniel Adair (3 Doors Down and Nickelback), and Jason McGurr (Death Cab for Cutie)
. John's extensive knowledge in all genres of drumset playing place him in high demand as a lecturer in North America and throughout the World.. He has given workshops at Long & McQuade Stores, Tom Lee Music, clinics with Carl Palmer, Kenny Jones, Terry Clarke and was an instructor at Ayotte Drums.
John's other achievements have been the North American Solo Rudimental Drum Champion, lead drummer of the inception of the City of Victoria Pipe Band, past member of the World Champion Drum Corps, Shotts & Dykehead, and was the lead drummer of the 78th Frasers, Ontario. He competed at the World Championships, recently, with the Spirit of Scotland; a band comprised of outstanding players from Ireland, Scotland, North America, and Australia. The pipe band version of "The Dream Team".
